CFMEU, Maritime Union to create to super-union

The CFMEU and Maritime Union will merge to create one of the most powerful social and political bodies in Australia.

And their first act was to lie to you.

Neil Mitchell was tipped off about the merger on August 18.

3AW Mornings asked several questions about it and ‘both unions laughed at us. Literally,’ Neil Mitchell told today.

But today they’re coming clean, and aren’t being backward about their intentions to promote Bill Shorten to Prime Minister.

‘This new union has the power to stop the country, cripple the economy and control the Labor party,’ Neil Mitchell said today.

‘This is making industry quake.’

CFMEU national secretary Michael O’Connor laughed at Neil Mitchell again today, this time when Neil asserted that employers feared the union’s power.
