Chadstone unveils $660 million revamp
Chadstone expects to build on its 20 million visitors a year, after the shopping centre officially unveiled its $660 million revamp today.
Crowds flocked to get a better look at the new look shops after months of renovations.
CEO Angus McNaughton said the layout should be simpler for shoppers.
‘What we’ve done is we’ve actually demolished quite a lot of the end of Chadstone, which was a bit of rabbit warren and we’ve made an almost perfect racetrack on two levels now,’ he said.
It was also announced that there will be extended shopping hours until 9pm on Saturdays and 7pm on Sundays.
Shoppers were particularly excited about the opening of the H and M store.
Although they’ll have to wait a little longer for the finishing touches on make-up giant Sephora, the new Hoyts cinemas and the dining precinct.
