Chamber of Commerce calls for 30-year Port Phillip Bay improvement plan
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce wants a 30-year improvement plan to best exploit Port Phillip Bay.
“I reckon the bay is one of the worst managed features we’ve got,” Neil Mitchell said on 3AW Mornings.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Mark Stone agreed.
“I think we take the bay for granted,” he said.
“A 30-year plan, a lot can be done and millions of Victorians and tourists will benefit.”

Neil said we could approach the bay as Sydney does the harbor, where restaurants and hotels are scattered across the shoreline taking advantage of the views.
“Floating restaurants, floating hotels, man-made islands, make it a tourist mecca,” Neil said.
