Chaos unfolds across Melbourne’s east overnight, resulting in the arrest of five teenagers

Five teenagers, with the youngest being just 13-years-old, have been arrested after a chaotic crime spree and police pursuit through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs overnight.

The five teenagers were arrested after a series of alleged burglaries and an aggravated carjacking, where they threatened the driver with a knife.

The pursuit started in Glen Waverley and ended in Mont Albert North, where the teenagers fled on foot before they were tracked down and subsequently arrested nearby.

“I can assure you the media will be interested as to whether they were already on bail,” 3AW Breakfast host Ross Stevenson said.
