Charges against Flinders Street accused upgraded
Charges against the man allegedly behind the wheel of a car that mowed down pedestrians on Flinders Street have been upgraded.
It follows the death of an 83-year-old Northcote man on December 29.
A 32-year-old Heidelberg West man has now been charged with murder.
He faces a number of offences in relation to the incident in December 21, including 18 counts of attempted murder and one count of conduct endangering life.
He has been remanded in custody to appear again at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court in May.
Three people remain in hospital following the incident.
