Chinese students warned not to walk alone in Melbourne at night

Chinese students are being warned not to walk through Melbourne alone at night following a series of gang-related attacks in recent months.

While nobody has been injured, a number of vulnerable international students have been mugged.

The notorious APEX gang, linked to the Moomba riots, is suspected of involvement.

Police have confirmed they’ve met with Chinese Consulate officials about the issue, as well as University of Melbourne staff and student representatives.
