Chris Fagan addresses interest surrounding Tom Rockliff and Pearce Hanley

New Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan says he’s yet to meet with Tom Rockliff and Pearce Hanley to discuss their future with the club.

But he told Sports Today he doesn’t want them if they don’t want to be there.

‘I know there’s a lot of banter out there, but I actually haven’t had a chance to talk with them,’ Fagan explained on 3AW.

‘I wouldn’t like to speculate on their future prior to doing that because I don’t think that’s fair.

‘I need to find out from them if they’re committed and have a passion to continue with the Brisbane Lions and if they don’t … well, I don’t really want people who aren’t passionate on the bus because they don’t help you.

‘I don’t know which way those guys will go, I haven’t had a conversation with them.

‘I don’t want to to do it over the phone, I want to see them eye-to-eye.’
