Christie Whelan and Brent Hill tell Denis Walter about the musical Jerry’s Girls

Broadway musical Jerry’s Girls opened on Friday at the Arts Centre in Melbourne, and is a celebration of Australia’s leading ladies.

12 women each play a version of herself in this intimate look at the backstage mayhem of show business.

Cast members Christie Whelan and Brent Hill dropped in to Denis Walter’s program on Monday.

‘We’ve been written as versions of ourselves and that takes an amount of bravery,’ Ms Whelan said.

‘You don’t have a character to hide behind.’
