Phillip Island scientists are calling on the public’s help to count Australia’s largest fur seal colony, which is situated off The Nobbies, at the south western point of the island.

Dr Rebecca McIntosh, Research Scientist at Phillip Island Nature Parks, told Ross and John a series of photos taken by a drone will be available to view online.

“We need the seals counted and the best way we could think of doing that is to engage the public and the global community,” Dr McIntosh said.

“We’ve got a set of photos and we wanted them counted multiple times to get an average count.”
