A vigilante has apprehended an allegedly violent passenger in peak hour drama on the Alamein line this afternoon.
The train was delayed for several minutes at Riversdale station as the passenger went on an enraged rampage, pulling emergency levers and swearing loudly.
The carriage was full of school children at the time.
One passenger decided to take matters into his own hands, ushering the man off the train before running him down on the platform and executing a citizen’s arrest.
3AW producer Jake Bourke witnessed the incident.
“When he shooed him off the train I thought that was the end of it,” he told Tom Elliott.
