The City of Melbourne is under fire for a social media post offering 15 minutes of free parking.

Vice President at Council Watch, Dean Hurlston, says, the idea is tokenistic.

“We all know that 15 minutes doesn’t get you the ability to do anything in the city these days … they’ve missed the point, the city is struggling to rebound from COVID,” he told Tony Moclair.

He also says the lord mayor, Sally Capp, needs to go.

“This council has got it priorities wrong … we need someone with leadership to fix, clean up and make the city safe again,” he said.
