Client surprises struggling travel agent with generous gesture

A long-time client has surprised a struggling travel agent with a selfless act.

Geoff Ingram’s wife has owned and operated a travel agency for three decades.

Like all travel operators, she’s been hit hard by COVID-19 shutdowns, which have suspended most international travel for almost two years.

Then a client surprised her with an incredibly generous gesture.

“She had a long term client who called her one day, this is just recently, and said ‘We’d like to pay the rent on your shop for the next six months,” Mr Ingham told Neil Mitchell.

“My wife, at the time, pretty much broke down.

“Financially the business has taken a huge hit.”
