Clocktower ticking off residents for showing the wrong time

COUNCIL WATCH: The clocktower at the South Melbourne Town Hall is ticking people off, showing the wrong time for the last month.

Tim, who works opposite the clocktower, told Tom Elliott he couldn’t make sense of the fact the clock hadn’t been fixed.

“In this day in age you think we could get the right time on the clock,” he said.

“I know it’s not a big issue, but it’s just annoying.”

At 3.30pm the clock was showing 8pm.

The council told Tim it was an OH&S issue for the time to be changed.

“Makes you wonder how they could change the time in the past for daylight saving,” he said.
