Cobalt charges could end Kavanagh and O’Brien’s careers

Leading trainers Mark Kavanagh and Danny O’Brien were found guilty of cobalt offences on Wednesday.

The Age’s Patrick Bartley told Sports Today they may never recover from them.

‘They’re very strong and decisive charges,’ he said.

‘These are very serious, career-ending charges.

‘You lose your stables, you lose your clients, you lose your income.’
