Code-hopper Mike Pyke has advice for potential code-hoppers

As far as code-hoppers go, there’s few more successful than Mike Pyke.

The former Canada rugby international left that career to try his hand at AFL, playing 110 games and winning a flag before retiring at the end of 2015.

And Pyke has some advice for other athletes considering a switch to AFL.

‘If you’re coming down to be a celebrity or make a quick dollar, it’s not the game for you,’ Pyke said.

‘AFL is a game that supports and rewards hard workers.’

Pyke said Aussie Rules is the best football code to play and to watch live.
