Coffee price hike predictions ‘just ridiculous’, expert says

A coffee expert says while the price of a morning brew is expected to rise, it won’t increase by as much as some fear.

Coffee expert Wayne Fowler says we’re “price observers in that we still have our coffee when the price goes up”.

“I don’t think coffee prices will go up as much as expected,” he told Ross and Russel.

“I saw one the other week saying coffee will be $8 by Christmas. That’s just ridiculous because it won’t be.

“There’s a few reasons why it won’t be and one is good old competition.”
