Coles top executive SLAMS Allan government over retail theft surge

Data from Coles has revealed that over the past few years, Victoria accounted for 71 per cent of company’s organised crime losses.

Coles’ Chief of Operations and Supply Chain, Matt Swindells, has highlighted a lack of action from the Allan government to tackle the escalating problem.

“There is no consequence, and when I say no consequence, someone can come in and steal from a store, be arrested, be taken away and out on bail and back in the store again within hours,” Mr Swindells told 3AW Drive.
