Scott Pendlebury has come under fire from fans after sending out a tweet this morning seemingly disregarding the existence of AFLW.

Pendlebury, who has almost 100k followers, tweeted a poll saying, “Who’s looking forward to footy being back on screens tonight?”

But the AFLW, including Collingwood’s team, has been playing televised games for weeks.

Pendlebury was referring to the AFLX competition which begins tonight.

“Not only has AFLW been going for weeks, your own club even has a team,” one fan wrote.

“Footy has been back for two weeks. Would’ve hoped the men’s captain of a club that has a team in the AFLW knew that,” another wrote.

Pendlebury addressed his critics later with another tweet.
