‘Come out and say it’: Allan government lashed over Metro Tunnel opening secrecy

Jacqui Felgate is pleading with the state government to come clean on when the $15 billion Metro Tunnel will really open.

The government continues to dodge questions on when the project will open, and whether services will stop at all five of the new underground stations.

The 3AW Drive host said it was fine if the project timelines were altered, as long as officials were honest with taxpayers.

“I’ll be staggered if this thing opens at the end of the year the way it should be – and that’ OK,” she said on 3AW.

“Just come out and say it, be transparent to the people who are paying for it.”
