A snapshot of life in Victorian suburbs shows fences are the most common source of frustration among neighbours.

According to new figures released by the Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria, between July 2015 and 2016, 20,000 Victorians called it for advice and almost 7000 were about fences.

Other issues that arose includes trees, noisy neighbours and trespassing.

‘Such as fences, trees, animals, noise, drainage or some of those behavioural issues.’
