Community and Public Sector Union speaks out after attack on speed camera operator

The Community and Public Sector Union has spoken out following an attack on a speed camera operator over night.

Spokesperson for the Union, Julian Kennelly, says workers are frustrated and criticised SERCO for not being there for staff.

“We’ve got this terrifying ambush by four people against the vehicle, the operator inside, it’s near midnight, it’s Royal Parade,” he told 3AW Drive.

The attack comes after members voted to take industrial action last week claiming dangerous work environments and low pay.
