A fundraiser to raise money for four children left orphaned when their parents died in a car crash near Daylesford on Saturday morning is gaining momentum.

Michael and Jo Glare died when their car skidded on black ice and hit a tree, while their eldest daughter survived the crash.

The family lives in Swan Hill, but their extended family comes from Piangil near Tooleybuc.

Organiser Janine Gebert spoke to Neil Mitchell earlier in the week to raise the profile of the raffle at Tooleybuc on the weekend.

‘We are doing really well, we hope we get a lot of people here on Sunday night,’ she said.

To buy a ticket in the raffle and contribute to the fund, contact Janine on 5030 5476.

Raffle tickets are just $1 and there’s an array of prizes to be won.

3AW has provided two seats in the Medallion Club at Etihad on July 30, the Medallion Club is donating in a dinner for two before the game and there’s a night’s stay in a premium suite thanks to the Peppers Boutique Hotel.
