Former federal transport minister and current deputy chairman of Rex Airlines, John Sharp, has called for the federal government to “revisit” their snub of Qatar Airways.
The federal government made the decision to ban Qatar Airways from adding 28 extra flights per week into the country in July, a move estimated to cost the economy $800 million in lost revenue.
“They’ve made a complete mess of explaining why they’ve made this decision,” Mr Sharp told Neil Mitchell.
