Concern as Australian attitudes to sunscreen decline
Australians are turning their backs on sunscreen.
Only 55% of Aussies believe sunscreen is safe to use every day, which is down from 61% three years ago.
Consequently, experts are out to bust some of the myths around sunscreen.
Dermatologist Steven Shumack told Ross and John it’s perfectly healthy to wear sunscreen every day. Indeed, it’s actually recommended to slop it on every day from September to April.
He also said wearing sunscreen does not block your vitamin D intake.
