Concerning number of Victorian rentals still falling short of minimum standards
Undercover renters inspecting Victorian homes on behalf of the Consumer Policy Research Centre and Tenants Victoria have found an alarming number are falling short of minimum standards.
More than a quarter of properties inspected didn’t meet standards for good smoke alarm placement, while 28 per cent had maintenance issues.
CEO of Tenants Victoria, Jennifer Beveridge, said “it’s not good enough”.
