Concerns raised over alarming drop in kids sport participation numbers
New data trends suggest children’s participation levels in sport has dropped following Victoria’s Covid 19 lockdowns.
Professor of Sport and Participation at Federation University Rochelle Eime says there is a “drop off” in participation of ten and eleven year olds.
“If kids aren’t active and getting their social skills through sport there’s a lot of other personal development and health benefits they’re missing out on,” Eime told 3AW Breakfast.
