Confirmed: Gun found in crashed car on Princes Freeway
FIRST on the RUMOUR FILE
The discovery of a gun after a car rollover on The Princes Freeway has led to police laying 30 charges.
The matter first came to light when Ross and John’s Rumour File was told “something very interesting” had been found in a crash Hilux ute at Point Cook between Palmers Road and Boardwalk Blvd 5.15am yesterday.
Two men were trapped in the car and freed by emergency service.
And that’s when the gun was found.
A Bundoora man, 42, has been charged with 30 offences including reckless conduct endangering life, possessing proceeds of crime and multiple drug and traffic offences.
He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on March 1.
The other man, a 30-year-old from Ascot Vale, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
