CONFIRMED: Man falls from Carlton apartment block as police search home

A man is believed to have fallen off a balcony as police executed a search warrant at the Carlton apartment.

Police told 3AW Breakfast following an earlier Rumour File the man received life threatening injuries in the fall.

He has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The incident will be investigated by the Professional Standards Command.

Police are unable to confirm if anyone else was in the Drummond Street apartment at the same time.
