Controversial diet ‘sets teens up for a lifetime of body shame’

Healthy body image advocates have slammed a campaign from Weight Watchers that gives free memberships to teenagers.

Fiona Sutherland, accredited practicing dietitian from Body Positive Australia,  told Tom Elliott it was “setting them up for a lifetime of body shame”.

“At least 95 per cent of diets fail,” she explained.

“Let’s not kid ourselves.”
