Controversial report into bullying and harassment to remain secret
A controversial report addressing claims of bullying and harassment in Victoria’s fire services will not be made public.
The report was carried out by the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission at the request of the state government and examined sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying of employees and volunteers at the CFA and MFB.
The United Firefighters Union has spent the past year trying to prevent its release with court injunctions.
The Court Of Appeal has decided to uphold those injunctions, keeping the report a secret.
“This is really disappointing,” Neil Mitchell said.
