Cop opens fire at booze bus site in Grantville incident

A police officer has been charged after allegedly opening fire at a booze bus site in Gippsland.
The Leading Senior Constable from the Eastern Region has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life following the incident in Grantville, 30 minutes south of Lang Lang, on May 20 last year.
No one was injured.
It’s not yet clear why the officer opened fire.
In releasing the above details of the incident today, police say the officer has been “transferred to other duties”.
He will appear in Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on January 25.
