Cops injured in Point Cook smash and run

Two people are on the run and two are in custody after police officers were injured in a crash at Point Cook this morning.

A station wagon smashed into an unmarked police car when it flew through a red light at the intersection of Boardwalk Boulevard and Dunnings Road shortly before 4am.

Four people emerged from the car and fled.

The officers chased down and arrested two teens, with two others still on the run.

The police officers are in hospital with minor injuries.
