Cops rammed by crazed Springvale driver

A police car has been rammed in a shocking case of crazed driver in Springvale overnight.

The rampage began in Mulgrave when a Magna sedan was seen driving erratically on the Princes Highway about 9.50pm.

An item was later hurled out of a window at police, and the driver of the Magna also sideswiped another police car.

One officer suffered a minor injury.

A few minutes later, police found the driver trying to use the drive-through of a Springvale KFC.

He ran into the KFC building and a parked car while trying to flee police again.

A Narre Warren man, 20, was arrested and is expected to be charged with multiple traffic offences, discharging a weapon and drug possession.
