Cornes told to zip it

Former Port Adelaide champion and current runner Chad Cornes has been told by the AFL to pull back on his on-field opposition analysis, according to reports.

Scoop McClure says Cornes is known to be ‘a bit lippy’ towards opposition players while he is out on the field.

Matthew Richardson says he loved it when the opposition runner had a word to him when he was playing.

‘You just unleash a barrage back at them. It just made you feel good!’
