Cost of living crisis leaves more Australians working second jobs

The number of Australians working a second job has surged to more than 10 per cent in the last year with experts warning the trend will persist as the cost of living crisis continues.

Money expert at Finder, Sarah Megginson, says second jobs have become more “accessible in the gig economy.”

“In this day and age the gig economy makes it quite easy and flexible to add to your income without having to sign up to something that is quite rigid,” she told 3AW Breakfast.
