‘Couldn’t believe it’: The cruel act that left a mother devastated

A mother has been left devastated after heartless thieves vandalised and stole her late son’s plaque.

Michelle McLaren, mother of Lachlan McLaren, who was killed suddenly and brutally on his 16th birthday in 2021, was shocked to make the discovery earlier in the week.

“I couldn’t believe it, I just stood there in disbelief,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
