There has been an update after youth offenders were sent on a taxpayer-funded journey to the Gold Coast for rehabilitation.

Victorian Shadow Attorney-General James Newbury told 3AW Mornings, “In Victoria, we have a revolving door bail system.”

“It’s become a joke, and sadly, we’re all paying for it,” Newbury continued.
