Council in Victoria’s south announces plan for new property tax
The Mornington Peninsula shire have announced they’re looking at introducing a 3.3 per cent levy on new developments.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Council mayor, Simon Brooks, says the plan is currently out for public feedback.
“We’re testing the waters with this. Yes, it is a bold initiative, we anticipate a broad range of views coming back to us,” he told Tom Elliott.
