Council introduces new dog leash laws, due to the coronavirus

Mooney Valley Council has introduced new mandatory rules around keeping dogs on the leash, even at previously “off leash” parks.

It’s due to the coronavirus.

The Mayor, Samantha Byrne, said it would ensure social distance measures remained effective.

“It’s to help keep people apart,” she said.

“It makes it fair for everyone.”
