Council letter prompts fear dogs may be booted from inner-Melbourne pubs
An inner-Melbourne council has letter-dropped pubs alerting them to laws surrounding dogs in venues, prompting concern pooches could soon be barred from dog-friendly venues.
The City of Yarra letter told publicans recent complaint investigations had prompted them to clarify laws around dogs in venues.
A petition calling for dogs to be allowed in pubs has already attracted more than 8600 signatures.
