Council under fire for ‘one of the great cock-ups’

One inner-Melbourne council is under fire for what’s being described as “one of the great council cock-ups”.

Nearly 250,000 motorists were overcharged more than $12 million in parking fines by the Merri-Bek council, which includes suburbs like Coburg and Brunswick.

“This is one of the great council cock-ups of all time,” Jacqui Felgate said.
