Council vote buffered bike lanes on Inkerman St, residents and traders relieved
The Port Phillip Council has reached a verdict to install buffered bike lane on Inkerman St, a step-down from its initial plans for a separate bike lane.
Jaz Bradley, a trader on the street who rallied against the installation of the protected bike lane, told Tony Moclair that “everyone a winner”.
“Nobody wants to see anyone in the community feeling like their voices haven’t been heard or their concerns addressed,” she said.

She believes the matter should be escalated to the state government as councils are “faced with a really difficult task”.
