Council Watch: Brimbank’s new $52m headquarters

Brimbank City Council is constructing a new seven-storey headquarters.

And it’s costing its ratepayers over $50 million.

Darlene Reilly of the Sunshine Resident and Ratepayers’ Association told Tom Elliott she isn’t aware that the project will get any funding from the State or Federal governments.

‘I remember them putting forward the case that it would save $1m a year, so it would pay for itself in 52 years,’ Ms Reilly said.
