COUNCIL WATCH: Maroondah City ratepayers set to fork out for council ball

A Maroondah City councillor says it’s not right ratepayers will have to fork out $32,500 on a mayoral ball later this year.

Cr Mary-Anne Lowe told Tom Elliott it wasn’t fair.

‘I have no issue with the event and celebrating the community, but it shouldn’t be at the cost of ratepayers,’ Ms Lowe said on 3AW Drive.
