City of Yarra councillor Stephen Jolly will propose a “three strikes and you’re out” policy when it comes to electric scooters.

“They’ve got the technology, through the app, to track the behaviour of users,” he told Neil Mitchell on Wednesday.

It comes after the boss of Lime promised to keep illegal riders off Melbourne’s footpaths, should the trial continue beyond the end of March.
