Councils turn to new start-up for soft plastics offering ‘circular solution’

A year on from the collapse of the collection service REDcycle councils have begun to look at a new service to recycle materials.

Chief Marketing Officer at RecycleSmart, Eugenie Alonzo, says the company offers a “circular solution.”

“We’ll come to their doorstep and collect them … the soft plastics get turned into oil … then get turned into soft plastics again,” she told Tom Elliott.
