Country bakery shutting doors after 113 years

A Colac bakery is shutting its doors after 113 years.

Adriana Thwaites, co-owner of Thwaites Bakehouse in Colac, said the business had been in the family since it began in 1909.

She said the reaction had been big from locals.

“They’re all sad, but happy for us,” she said.

“The orders have just been unbelievable.”
