A couple has been left out-of-pocket almost $4000 after they kept buying tickets to a Michael Bublé concert under the belief their transactions weren’t successful.

Tom told 3AW Mornings he and his wife kept getting an error message on the Ticketek website when they were trying to purchase two tickets to the Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena.

“So in fear of missing out, of course we kept trying and had both phones going simultaneously,” he explained.

“After the fifth attempt, we started getting confirmation these purchases had gone through.”

Tom said they’d since got onto Ticketek, which he said was “nearly impossible” to do, but wasn’t given assurance they’d be refunded for the eight tickets they didn’t intend to buy.

He said the cost could impact their ability to re-pay their house mortgage.
