COVID-19 latest: Only 90 of Victoria’s 246 new local cases linked to known outbreaks
Victoria recorded 246 new locally-acquired COVID-19 cases yesterday.
Just 90 of the new cases are linked to known outbreaks and cases.
There were 32,300 vaccine doses administered at state-run vaccine hubs yesterday and 43,858 test results were received.
There are 1786 active COVID-19 cases across the state.
There are 110 people in hospital in Victoria with COVID-19, 30 of those receiving intensive care.
Fourteen people, aged from 17 to 76, need a ventilator to breathe.
“Anybody can fall ill to this, and become seriously ill,” Daniel Andrews said.
Of the 246 local cases, 90 are linked to known cases and outbreaks and the remainder under investigation. Further case information will be provided this morning. [2/2]
