The arts and entertainment industry has been one of the hardest sectors hit by the economic effects of COVID-19.

Will that mean a shortage of “new” content on our screens in the near future?

“Here in Victoria, at least, a number of productions have ceased as a direct result of COVID,” Adam Portelli

But it’s not all bad news.

Portelli said there were “green shoots” appearing in recent weeks and that the current pandemic was “fertile ground” for future content.

“I’m sure the current pandemic is going to be the subject of movies, TV and literature in the coming months and years,” he said.
